How To Use JANUS
XELJANZ (tofacitinib) Clinical Trials Data
JANUS is a subgroup data visualization tool designed to provide tofacitinib (Xeljanz®) efficacy and safety outcomes from clinical trials (Rheumatoid Arthritis) by user selected * clinical trial patient subgroup(s) and displayed in real-time. This is not intended to be used for the management of any individual patient in a clinical setting. JANUS is also not to be used as research tool. JANUS is a post-hoc subgroup data visualization tool for educational purposes only.
*Clinical characteristics and efficacy and safety outcomes are pre-defined based on clinical trial information captured in the tofacitinib clinical development program.

Once you have chosen the U.S. Healthcare Professional category you will see the Filters section.
The filter page shows objective patient criteria, organized in three categories that can be manually selected to create specific subgroups. The three categories are:
- Patient Demographics
- Medical History
- RA Medication
The total number of patients and a percentage of the total population is automatically changing based on the selected patient characteristics. Each criteria selection will accordingly update the visual data representation on the Safety and Efficacy tabs.
NOTE: If none of the input criteria are selected, all data available (100%) will be shown.
You can use the tab bar to switch between Filters, Safety, and Efficacy data figures.
Safety
The safety figures represent the incidence rate per 100 patient years for the tofacitinib groups:
- Tofacitinib 5mg twice daily
- Tofacitinib 10mg twice daily
- Combined Doses
NOTE: Display of safety data is contingent upon the subgroup meeting sufficient predefined criteria based on exposure duration.
Efficacy
The efficacy data represent disease activity scores for the tofacitinib treatment groups:
- Tofacitinib 5mg twice daily
- Tofacitinib 10mg twice daily
- Combined Doses
NOTE: Display of efficacy data is contingent upon the subgroup meeting sufficient predefined criteria based on patient count. The number of patients in efficacy data may vary from the total number in the selected subgroup because of missing or irrelevant data collection.
